Thanh Thúy's Plans for International Competitions Still Unclear
Vietnamese volleyball player Trần Thị Thanh Thúy has expressed her desire to continue competing abroad, but

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, a key player for the Vietnam women's volleyball team, has been chosen by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to compete in the first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026. This event will be held in Dong Anh, Hanoi, from July 31 to August 2, 2026.
Thuy, who was the top scorer for the Vietnam team at the AVC Cup 2026 held in the Philippines earlier this year, is expected to maintain her high performance during the upcoming tournament. Despite her efforts, the Vietnam team finished third in that competition.
In addition to Thuy, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has selected 13 other players to participate in the tournament. These include Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Huynh Phuong Thuy, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Nguyen Thi Tra My, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Le Nhu Anh, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Vi Thi Yen Nhi, Ca Thi Tu, and Nguyen Khanh Dang.
The first leg of the SEA V.Cup 2026 will feature Vietnam competing against teams from Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines in a round-robin format. The team with the best results will be awarded the championship trophy. Following this leg, the second leg of the SEA V.Cup will be hosted in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team's goal is to secure the championship title in this home tournament, showcasing their skills and determination on the international stage.
