According to the Southern Hydro-Meteorological Center, the weather in Southern Vietnam will remain sunny during the day, but thunderstorms and rain are expected in the evenings and nights. There will be moderate to heavy rainfall in several areas.

Over the next 24 to 48 hours, the southwest monsoon will weaken. An upper-level subtropical high pressure system will continue to extend westward, affecting the weather in the region. From October 3 to 4, a cold continental high pressure system will be reinforced in the north, further influencing the weather patterns.

As a result, Southern Vietnam will experience sunny days, with rain showers and thunderstorms occurring in the evenings and nights, particularly in areas where moderate to heavy rain may occur. Thunderstorms may bring strong winds, lightning, and hail, which could impact agricultural production, damage trees, and affect infrastructure.

Regarding the high tide, water levels at most stations along rivers and canals in Ho Chi Minh City are expected to fluctuate slowly and remain high for the first one to two days, before gradually decreasing. The peak tide at various stations is projected to reach alert levels I and II, potentially lasting until the end of October 1, 2026.
