Pham Nhat Vuong Rises in Forbes Billionaires Ranking

Pham Nhat Vuong, the chairman of Vingroup, made headlines on August 27 when his net worth surged by $2.3 billion in just one day, according to Forbes' real-time billionaire rankings. This remarkable increase, which equates to a 6.59% rise, positioned him as the fourth highest gainer among the world's billionaires for that day.

In comparison, Elon Musk led the rankings with a staggering increase of $6.8 billion, representing a 0.8% rise in his wealth. Other notable billionaires who saw significant increases include Larry Ellison, who gained $4.3 billion (2.31%), and Michael Dell, who added $3.4 billion (1.44%). Following Vuong was Mark Zuckerberg, whose net worth rose by approximately $2.1 billion (1.05%). Collectively, the top five billionaires increased their wealth by around $18.9 billion in just one day, with Vuong contributing over 12% of that total.

The fluctuations in Vuong's wealth coincided with a rise in Vingroup's stock price, which reached 237,800 VND per share on the morning of August 27, marking a nearly 19% increase from the 200,000 VND recorded on August 19. This stock performance has been a significant factor in the volatility of Vuong's net worth on the billionaire rankings.

As of 11 AM on August 27, Forbes reported Vuong's total net worth at $35.6 billion, placing him at the 61st position globally among the richest individuals.
