In a significant regulatory action, authorities have supervised the destruction of nearly 76,000 boxes of detox powder associated with actor Huu Cong. The products, valued at approximately 2.66 billion VND, were found to violate safety and quality standards set by the government.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade's Domestic Market Management Department oversaw the destruction of 75,937 boxes of the detox powder from Eherbal Company. This action was mandated after the company faced administrative penalties and was ordered to return over 3.28 billion VND in illegal profits and comply with legal obligations.

The destruction took place at the Urban and Industrial Environment Company 11 (URENCO 11) in the Dai Dong Waste Treatment Area in Hung Yen. All products were destroyed according to an approved plan, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental protection regulations.

On December 29, 2025, a joint inspection team led by the Domestic Market Management Department, in collaboration with the Economic Police Department and the Hanoi Market Management Department, conducted checks on Eherbal and related locations. The inspection revealed several products with signs of quality violations. Recognizing potential criminal activity, the case was referred to investigative authorities for further examination.

After investigation, it was determined that the case did not warrant criminal prosecution, and the file was returned to the Domestic Market Management Department for administrative processing. Consequently, on July 20, the Department issued a fine of 580 million VND against Eherbal and mandated the company to return over 3.28 billion VND in illegal profits to the state budget and implement corrective measures as required by law.

Notably, one of the products found in violation and subsequently destroyed was the detox powder heavily promoted by actor and TikToker Huu Cong across various social media platforms since 2023. These products were marketed as beneficial for body detoxification, emphasizing the use of natural vegetable ingredients.

Huu Cong, born in 1990, gained popularity through several television series, most notably the sitcom "The Joyful Reporters." In recent years, he has shifted focus from acting to business and content creation on digital platforms.
