VinFast Kinet vs Honda CUV e: Which Electric Bike to Choose?

In the rapidly evolving electric bike market in Vietnam, consumers are faced with a choice between the VinFast Kinet and the Honda CUV e:, both priced above 40 million VND. While both models do not include batteries in their base prices, they offer battery swapping services, making them attractive options for potential buyers.

The VinFast Kinet is priced at 40 million VND without a battery and 49.9 million VND with two batteries included. Its design is angular and masculine, appealing to those looking for a robust aesthetic. The dimensions of the Kinet are 2,021 mm in length, 713 mm in width, and 1,135 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 160 mm and a seat height of 785 mm.

On the other hand, the Honda CUV e: starts at 45 million VND without a battery but includes two chargers. When equipped with two batteries, the price rises to 65 million VND. The CUV e: features a softer, minimalist design, measuring 1,893 mm in length, 664 mm in width, and 1,101 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 143 mm and a seat height of 765 mm.

Both models support battery swapping, but they differ in their charging methods. The Kinet allows users to charge directly on the bike, at charging stations, or swap batteries at designated kiosks. In contrast, the CUV e: requires users to remove the battery for charging, which may be less convenient.

VinFast has established a robust battery swap network with 4,500 stations and aims to expand to 150,000 kiosks nationwide. Meanwhile, Honda has launched over 25 battery swap stations in Hanoi, though its network is still developing.

When choosing between the VinFast Kinet and Honda CUV e:, consumers should consider their daily usage habits, such as travel distance and proximity to battery swap stations. The Kinet is ideal for those seeking a masculine design and extensive travel range, while the CUV e: may appeal to loyal Honda customers who prefer a simpler aesthetic.
