New allegations of cheating during the high school graduation exam have emerged in Quang Tri, Vietnam. This follows a similar incident reported earlier at Le Truc High School, where it was claimed that some students received undue assistance during the exam.
On July 12, 2026, reports surfaced on social media regarding suspicious activities at Hung Vuong High School in Bo Trach. The allegations stated that two students in examination room 242 were allowed to receive help from a supervisor, despite having scored only 10 points in trial exams for three subjects. In the actual exam, however, these students reportedly scored 24 points.
When contacted by Thanh Nien, Nguyen Minh Phuong, the principal of Hung Vuong High School, stated that he was not yet aware of the specifics of the allegations but would conduct an investigation and provide feedback afterward.
In response to the allegations, a representative from the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training confirmed that they would initiate a review of the exam results. This comes after the earlier reports of misconduct at Le Truc High School, where it was alleged that some examination officials had guided students, including the son of the school's principal.
On July 11, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee requested an urgent review of the graduation exam results in the area. The Department of Education and Training was tasked with thoroughly checking the examination process and results for the 2026 high school graduation exam at Le Truc High School to identify any irregularities or misconduct.
Additionally, the police have been instructed to work alongside the Department of Education and Training to comprehensively investigate the situation, clarify the roles and responsibilities involved, and take appropriate action against any violations in accordance with the law.
As these investigations unfold, the provincial authorities are also monitoring public sentiment regarding the allegations to ensure a transparent and fair examination process.
