NDO – The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, will organise 56 culture, sports and tourism events in

Lâm Đồng province is set to unveil a comprehensive series of summer tourism activities in 2026, designed not only to stimulate interest in local tourism but also to establish a strategic connection among its diverse attractions. This year’s summer tourism initiative marks a departure from traditional approaches, focusing on creating a cohesive experience rather than just a series of isolated events.
The summer tourism program aims to unify the region's unique offerings, including its beaches, flower cities, and mountainous landscapes, into a single, attractive travel destination. This new strategy is essential as Lâm Đồng expands its administrative boundaries, allowing for a more integrated view of tourism development.
According to Nguyễn Thị Bích Ngọc, Deputy Director of the Lâm Đồng Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the focus is shifting from merely increasing the number of events to enhancing the overall experience for visitors. The goal is to create a seamless journey that showcases the region's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, encouraging longer stays and greater spending by tourists.
The summer tourism activities will include a variety of events spread over nearly two months, featuring artistic programs, street music performances by Xuân Hương Lake, the Fish Worship Festival, and the Lâm Đồng Tourism, Shopping, and Culinary Day. Each event is designed to complement one another, forming a cohesive narrative that highlights the region's diverse attractions.
Moreover, the local government is working on improving infrastructure, particularly at the Liên Khương International Airport, to enhance accessibility for tourists. This airport is expected to play a crucial role in connecting Lâm Đồng with new markets, particularly international ones, thereby boosting tourism growth.
As part of its strategy, Lâm Đồng is also exploring new markets, including Halal tourism, and is actively engaging with international partners to diversify its tourist base. This approach not only aims to increase visitor numbers but also to improve the quality of tourism experiences offered in the region.
Ultimately, the success of Lâm Đồng's summer tourism initiative will depend on its ability to transform its unique resources into competitive advantages, creating a unified tourism space that attracts visitors year-round.
