On June 29, 2026, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued a decision appointing Nguyen Thi Hang as the new Director of the Social Policy Bank. The decision was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang and will take effect on July 1, 2026.

Nguyen Thi Hang, born on October 23, 1978, hails from Bac Ninh province. She holds a Master’s degree in Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking, along with a Senior Political Theory qualification.

Prior to this appointment, she held several significant positions, including Director of the Social Policy Bank branch in Ninh Binh province, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Party Committee of the Social Policy Bank for the 2025-2030 term, and Deputy Director of the Social Policy Bank.

This appointment is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the leadership and effectiveness of the Social Policy Bank in implementing social policies aimed at improving the living standards of disadvantaged communities in Vietnam.
