Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has officially released the list of candidates who have qualified for direct admission into the university for the academic year 2026. On June 29, the admissions council announced that 20 candidates met the criteria for direct admission, with three students qualifying for the medical program. The pharmacy program had the most candidates qualifying for direct admission.

In addition to the pharmacy program, candidates for the pharmaceutical technology and medicinal chemistry programs also had one successful applicant each. The list of candidates who qualified for direct admission is based on the regulations set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

To be officially considered for admission, these students must register their preferences on the national public service portal as mandated by the Ministry. This year, besides direct admissions, the university will also consider candidates based on their results from the high school graduation exam in 2026. The university will not accept scores from previous years’ exams for admission purposes.

For programs that require English as part of the admission criteria, candidates must take the English exam in the high school graduation test. The university will not convert foreign language certificates to exempt candidates from this requirement.

In related news, the tuition fees for the academic year 2026-2027 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy have been set, with the highest fee reaching 90 million VND per year.
