So Ji Sub returns to the small screen in the action-packed series 'Agent Kim Reactivated,' where he portrays Kim Do Hyun, a former elite agent known by the codename 'Code 66.' After retiring to fulfill a promise to his late wife to live as a normal father, he is forced to return to action when his only daughter finds herself in danger.

In discussing the project, So Ji Sub revealed that the desperate journey of his character convinced him to take on the role. 'I've always wanted to return to an action piece. What attracted me was the emotion of a father willing to do anything to find his daughter,' he shared.

He emphasized that the action scenes in 'Agent Kim Reactivated' differ significantly from his previous projects. 'The difficulty of this film is very high. The fight scenes are not just about showcasing skills but stem from the instinct to survive and the desire to protect my daughter at all costs.'

Director Yi Seung Young acknowledged that the film has drawn comparisons to the Hollywood film 'Taken' but insists that it has its own unique flavor. 'While 'Taken' focuses on a real-time rescue, 'Agent Kim Reactivated' unfolds over ten episodes, allowing for deeper exploration of the characters and their relationships,' the director explained.

Alongside So Ji Sub, the cast includes Choi Dae Hoon as Seong Han Su, a long-time friend of Kim, and Yoon Kyung Ho as Park Jin Cheol, a former Marine. The three characters are set to bring distinctly different action styles to the screen.

Choi Dae Hoon revealed that he spent considerable time studying taekwondo techniques to create a realistic fighting style for his character, while Yoon Kyung Ho described his fighting style as embodying a 'rock spirit,' providing a sense of release and energy.

Despite the heavy themes of fatherhood and revenge, So Ji Sub noted that the atmosphere on set was always positive due to the excellent collaboration among the cast. 'Agent Kim Reactivated' is set to premiere on June 26.
