Big chance for investors to Vietnam: A shortage of qualified game training programs -

Gaming is an industry that needs cultivation to develop

Recently, the development story of the Vietnamese gaming industry has attracted public attention, especially after the Ministry of Finance proposed a special consumption tax on the gaming industry.
At the recent press conference of the Ministry of Information and Communications in April, Mr.Do Le, once again confirmed the Ministry's views on managing and promoting the healthy development of the gaming industry.
He stated that gaming is a potential industry in Vietnam, especially in the context of our promotion of digital transformation and the development of the digital economy. Previously, people believed that games were toxic. However, it must be a complete ecosystem, including production, distribution, and game related activities.

The gaming industry in Vietnam is younger than other countries, with low income value, and needs to cultivate and formulate policies to promote development," he emphasized.
The Ministry of Information and Communications has appointed the Director of the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information to formulate a development strategy for the gaming industry. In this plan, the department will also collaborate with the Education and Training Department to develop and improve the quality of human resources in the gaming industry. It is to raise correct, timely, and revolutionary questions.
Policies promoting the gaming industry will help create many job opportunities, bring good income to employees, and help create business value for Vietnam.

Lack of game training plans

Regarding the development of the gaming industry, Mr.Tuan Cao, Deputy Director of the Information and Communication Research Institute, stated that gaming will make significant contributions to the Vietnamese economy and contribute to the industry's development goals. Human resource training is one of the important solutions. Vietnam welcomes all the foreign investors paying attention to this industry.
Stable human resources and professional knowledge will help Vietnam actively develop healthy and attractive games. It not only generates income but also attracts foreign investment. Moreover, it promotes Vietnamese culture to various parts of the world, "said Dr.Thang Cao.
However, according to Mr.Anh, Vietnam still lacks a good gaming training program. The game plan must include three elements, namely a plan based on in-depth research on Vietnam and the world game markets; Having a qualified team of trainers; There are professional support services that must support and connect students' work.

Now game companies cannot hire programmers who have known the game from the beginning. They must recruit programmers who understand other technologies and retrain them. This fact leads to a shortage of personnel in enterprises, which is expensive time and cost for both enterprises and society.
He added that in recognition of the development potential of the Vietnamese gaming industry, Aptech has launched a game programming program globally since last year and has chosen Vietnam as its first deployment destination. However, during the deployment process, the unit faced some difficulties, including a lack of social awareness and bias towards games, which led many young people to be cautious about the gaming industry.
In order to solve this difficulty, Vietnam has strengthened communication to change people's understanding of the gaming industry.
