Taliban appoint members as 44 governors, police chiefs around Afghanistan
The Taliban appointed 44 of its members to key roles including provincial governors and police chiefs on
NDO – The Ministry of Public Security held a programme in Hanoi on June 5 to honour 63 outstanding chiefs of police at the communal level.
Speaking at the programme, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed the Ministry for hosting the event, which reflects the Party and State’s appreciation for the police force, particularly those having outstanding achievements in ensuring security and social order.
He congratulated the 63 outstanding police chiefs, praising them as exemplary models representing more than 48,000 communal police who are working day and night to fulfil tasks assigned by the Party, State, and people.
The State leader asked the police force to promote the sector’s glorious heroic tradition to complete all assigned tasks and build a modern and elite People's Security force.
He also stressed the importance to enhance Party building, renovate operations, and remain in close attachment to the people.
He expressed his hope that the communal police force will make further efforts to safeguard security, social order and safety, and contribute to boosting socio-economic development in the community.
