In autumn, the terraced fields of Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal are surrounded by ranges of majestic snowy mountains.

NDO - November is the wonderful time to visit Nepal, the country that ranks second in the world in terms of average elevation above sea level. Thousands of people flock to the country for trekking routes to admire the enchanting colours of the forests with yellow and red leaves, high blue sky, snowy mountains, brilliant sunshine, and beautiful small villages located halfway up to the sky.

By hiking the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek between September and November, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of terrain and rich flora and fauna. The peaceful and poetic beauty of the villages of Tikhedhunga, Banthanti, Sinuwa, Chomrong is a reward for backpackers after their long treks.

Donkeys and horses are very popular in Nepal. They play an important role in transporting goods and food to the high mountains or remote and dangerous residential areas. Ringed with bells and decorated with colourful pieces of embroidered fabric, their movement creates a pleasant sound and a beautiful sight.
