Vietnamese actor Phuong Nam, often referred to as the "most unfortunate actor in Vietnam," faced a serious incident while filming his latest movie, "Ut Lan 2." During a scene that involved working with real snakes, he was bitten on the hand, prompting immediate medical attention.

Phuong Nam shared a behind-the-scenes clip on his personal social media, revealing the moment he was bitten. Known for taking on physically demanding and risky roles, he has earned a reputation for his dedication to realism in his performances. In this particular film, he portrays a snake catcher, a role that required him to confront his own fear of snakes.

Before filming began, Phuong Nam underwent extensive training to handle the snakes safely, learning how to grip and control them. Despite the snakes being non-venomous and trained, the filming conditions were challenging, especially with the weather turning stormy, making the snakes more difficult to manage.

During one take, as he was handling a snake, it unexpectedly bit him. Although he remained calm and continued to act while the camera was rolling, the snake attacked him again, leading him to drop it and halt the shoot. The crew quickly provided first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital in Kien Giang, about 50 kilometers from the filming location, for treatment.

Fortunately, Phuong Nam's health stabilized, and he was back on set the very next day to finish filming his scenes. He reassured fans that all safety measures were in place, with experts supervising the snake handling, and emphasized his commitment to performing his own stunts to enhance the authenticity of his character.
