SSI Invests 500 Billion VND in New Technology Fund

SSI Securities Corporation, one of Vietnam's leading financial institutions, has recently made headlines with its decision to invest 500 billion VND into the SSI-NextGen Technology Fund. This fund, managed by SSI Asset Management Company (SSIAM), has a total charter capital of 600 billion VND, with SSI holding an 83.33% stake.

The investment is set to be executed within the year 2026, as per the announcement from SSIAM. Additionally, the Board of Directors has appointed Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha, the Chief Financial Officer of SSI, as the representative for this investment.

In conjunction with this investment, SSI has also shared news regarding its upcoming dividend distribution for the year 2025. Shareholders can expect a cash dividend of 10%, equivalent to 1,000 VND per share, with the payment date scheduled for September 14, 2026. This decision was previously approved during the annual general meeting held in April 2026.

Furthermore, SSI plans to issue over 500.2 million bonus shares, with a ratio of 5:1, meaning shareholders will receive one additional share for every five shares they own. The total value of this issuance is estimated at over 5 trillion VND, significantly increasing SSI's charter capital to over 30 trillion VND, potentially reclaiming its position as the largest securities company in Vietnam.

According to the financial report for the second quarter of 2026, SSI recorded a revenue of 3,312 billion VND, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period last year. The pre-tax profit reached 1,511 billion VND, a 32% rise. For the first half of 2026, SSI's cumulative revenue was 6,652 billion VND, with a pre-tax profit of 3,122 billion VND, reflecting growth rates of 27% and 39%, respectively.

The company's Board of Directors has set ambitious targets for 2026, aiming for a total revenue of 15,660 billion VND and a consolidated pre-tax profit of 5,838 billion VND, which represents increases of 19% and 15% over 2025's figures. As of June 30, 2026, SSI's total assets reached 95,237 billion VND, an increase of 2.4% since the beginning of the year, while its equity grew by 27.5% to 39,592 billion VND.
