On July 10, major securities firms including Zhongtai Securities, CITIC Securities, Changjiang Securities, and Huaxin Securities announced their half-year performance forecasts, all indicating positive growth. CITIC Securities anticipates a net profit of 23.343 billion yuan, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 70.15%.
In total, ten listed securities firms have disclosed their earnings forecasts, with some projecting net profit growth rates as high as 694%. This collective optimism has drawn considerable attention from investors, leading to a surge in inquiries regarding the firms' strategic focuses and investment plans.
The recent performance announcements have sparked a notable increase in investor relations activities. Six securities firms, including Southwest Securities and China Merchants Securities, have reported a significant uptick in investor engagement compared to last year, where only one firm had disclosed an investor relations record.
Investors are particularly interested in the firms' technology-focused strategies. For instance, Changjiang Securities has emphasized its commitment to emerging industries such as optoelectronic information and intelligent connected vehicles, aiming to identify high-growth companies with core technologies.
China Merchants Securities has also highlighted its dual investment platforms, which manage over 52 billion yuan in private equity funds, focusing on technology sectors. The firm is actively developing a comprehensive ecosystem for technology services, emphasizing digital, green, and life sciences technologies.
In addition to domestic growth, securities firms are increasingly prioritizing international expansion. Leading firms like GF Securities and Huatai Securities are enhancing their global operations, with a focus on cross-border financing and investment services.
Overall, the strong performance forecasts and strategic initiatives reflect a robust outlook for the securities industry, positioning it as a key player in Vietnam's financial landscape.
