Visitors to Ly Son island during the occasion of the Hung king’s anniversary and April 30  increased due to favorable weather and a series of demand stimulation.

On May 4, Sa Ky Port Management Board said that the last holiday has coordinated with Quang Ngai Port Authority and businesses to organize 140 trips from Sa Ky port to Ly Son island for about 8,500 tourists. On Ly Son island, there were nearly 350 ships carrying about 4,300 passengers between the two big and small islands.

Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, Head of Sa Ky Port Operations Department, said that the number of passengers had been forecasted in advance, so the trips were all used smoothly. The amount of visitors to Ly Son island this year increased three times compared to last year's number. One of the reasons is that the weather is more favorable and not as rainy as last year. Ly Son tourism is on the recovery, but compared to the peak in 2019, the number of new visitors is only half as much as.

In order to stimulate tourism, Ly Son is organizing a series of cultural and sports events with activities such as beach volleyball tournament, Tu Linh traditional boat race, national paragliding tournament, athletics and swimming tournament taking place from April 26 to May 22. The Hoang Sa Soldier Festival was held on May 5 at the communal house of An Vinh village.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, during the five days-off of holiday, it is estimated that more than 160,000 visitors came to attractions and tourist sites. Total revenue from tourism activities reached 140 billion VND. In which, the number of people at the accommodation establishments is more than 40000 with the revenue of more than 80 billion VND.

Beside Ly Son island, typical places such as My Khe Beach had 42,000 visitors, Suoi Chi had 6,000 visitors. Spots such as Bau Ca Cai, Go Co, Chau Tan Beach, Khe Hai, Chau Me, Sa Huynh, Tinh Khe and Ca Ninh water coconut forests welcomed about 40,000 visitors.
