Apricot flowers, white plums bloom in Moc Chau

SON LA – The plum garden in Na Ka valley or the apricot garden in km82 is wearing pure white flowers in bloom, attracting tourists to visit and take photos.

Moc Chau town (Moc Chau district) is entering the most beautiful season of the year when apricot trees and plum trees in people’s gardens begin to shed leaves and bloom. These flowers are pure white, blooming on tiny branches like snowflakes.

Nguyen Hai Duong, a photographer living in Moc Chau, made a series of photos of the Moc Chau flower season in early January. He shared that so far, the plum blossoms have gradually faded, making way for plum blossoms to bloom. Pictured is apricot garden 82, at Km82 on Highway 6.

Plum trees are planted in the Na Ka valley, about 100 hectares wide. The valley is about 6-7 km from Tim Tim tea hill and 16 km from Farm town. The photo was taken on the morning of January 10.

Each plum garden here is owned by people, the entrance fee is 20,000 VND/person.

Unlike the apricot tree, the plum tree is lower, the branches spread to the level of the person, so it is easy for visitors to take pictures with the forest. Hai Duong shared that this year’s plum blossoms bloomed in the right season, although before that, some gardens had bloomed early. Flowers bloom from now until the Lunar New Year, suitable for tourists to visit at the beginning of the year.

Plum blossoms bloom in clusters on the stem. The petals are thin, white instead of milky white and have yellow pistils like apricot flowers. When it’s windy, the petals flutter, creating a dreamlike scene like falling snow. When the flowers fall, the tree begins the cycle of fruiting, the leaves grow green.

The weather in Moc Chau these days is cold, foggy in the early morning and late at night, but sunny at noon. This is also the time when many tourists come to the garden to take the best souvenir photos.

This year because of the epidemic, the number of visitors to Na Ka plum valley is not too crowded, mainly only on weekends. “It’s cold, there are sunny days because there are no people, the space is light and relaxing,” Duong said.

In early spring, plum blossoms bloom simultaneously, dyeing the mountains and hills white. Some other flower viewing spots are Mu Nau plum valley, pine hill in Ang village, Pa Phach village… Many tourists set up camp right in plum gardens to enjoy this space.

Here visitors can rent traditional costumes of local people for 50,000 – 100,000 VND/set.

In addition to apricot and plum flowers, this season Moc Chau also has mustard flowers and cherry blossoms in full bloom. Suggested places to see canola flowers are the pine forest of Ban Ang, Ham village, Pa Phach village… or Chieng Khoa (Van Ho). Follow (vnexpress)
