As the ASIAD 20 progresses, Vietnam's sports delegation has secured 21st place in the overall medal standings as of October 2, 2026. The country has achieved a total of 24 medals, comprising 2 gold, 3 silver, and 19 bronze medals.
Leading the medal tally is China, boasting an impressive count of 162 gold, 81 silver, and 73 bronze medals. Japan follows in second place with 72 gold, 83 silver, and 85 bronze medals, while South Korea ranks third with 33 gold, 39 silver, and 62 bronze medals.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand is currently leading with 15 gold, 11 silver, and 17 bronze medals. Malaysia is in second place, followed by Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and then Vietnam.
Vietnam's gold medals were won by the women's karate team consisting of Nguyễn Ngọc Trâm, Bùi Ngọc Nhi, and Hoàng Thị Thu Uyên in the team kata event, and by the women's doubles team of Nguyễn Thị Khánh Ly and Nguyễn Thị Thu Trang alongside Lê Thị Hồng Liên in sepaktakraw.
The three silver medals were earned by Đinh Văn Tâm in wushu, Châu Ngọc Tuyết Sang in taekwondo, and Nguyễn Thị Tâm in boxing.
