Fans Claim FIFA Favors Argentina in World Cup Draw
Fans around the world are expressing their belief that FIFA has manipulated the World Cup draw to favor

A significant movement against Argentina's participation in the World Cup has emerged, with over 5 million people signing a petition urging FIFA to exclude the team from the tournament. The online petition, titled "Argentina Out," was initiated spontaneously and is not affiliated with any official FIFA organization.
The petitioners argue that Argentina has received excessive favoritism from FIFA and referees during the current tournament. Teams like Egypt and Switzerland have voiced concerns about unfair officiating, suggesting that it has been aimed at helping Argentina advance in the competition.
The petition states: "It is clear that FIFA and the referees are biased towards Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team. Why should other teams participate if the winner is already known? Remove Argentina and give all other teams a fair chance." The petition includes a section for supporters to add their signatures.
Since its launch, the petition has gone viral, accumulating 5.2 million signatures by the afternoon of July 14, with numbers continuing to rise hourly. However, it is important to note that this petition holds no legal weight, and FIFA has not received any official documentation regarding the matter. Instead, it serves as a form of protest against Argentina on social media.
Argentina is set to compete in the World Cup 2026 semifinals against England on July 16 at 2 AM. Nevertheless, the team is expected to face intense scrutiny from the public. Additionally, the "Argentina Out" platform has initiated a poll to determine who is the greatest football player between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. As of the same date, Ronaldo has received 106,814 votes, while Messi has garnered 64,524 votes.
