On September 4, 2026, Hung Yen Club held a launch ceremony for its squad as it prepares for the 2026/27 National First Division. The club is determined to secure a top-three finish, which would grant them a chance to ascend to the V.League for the 2027/28 season.

The event was attended by notable figures including Pham Quang Ngoc, a member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, and Tran Quoc Toan, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hung Yen Province. Nguyen Trong Ho, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, and Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation, were also present.

Hung Yen Club was formed following the transfer of the PVF-CAND Youth Club. In preparation for the upcoming season, the team has acquired several experienced players who have previously represented various national teams. This includes goalkeeper Huynh Tuan Linh, midfielder Mac Hong Quan, and foreign player Joseph Khalio. Additionally, the squad features former U20 and U23 national team players such as Le Minh Binh and Mac Duc Viet Anh.

The team is coached by Bui Doan Quang Huy, who previously led Binh Dinh to a runner-up finish in the V.League 2023/24. His experience is expected to help the new team effectively combine young talents with seasoned players.

During the ceremony, General Director Nguyen Hai Bien expressed the club's ambition: “This season, we aim for a top-three finish and strive for promotion to the V.League in 2027/28. We will also focus on developing youth from U13 to U21 to support the first team and the national youth squads.”

Coach Bui Doan Quang Huy committed to fostering a united team: “As head coach, I accept this responsibility with seriousness and aim to create a cohesive unit. Our long-term goal is to develop young talent to ensure a strong future for the first team.”

With a mix of inherited talent from PVF-CAND and new experienced signings, Hung Yen Club hopes to create a competitive presence in the 2026/27 National First Division. Their season opener is scheduled against Can Tho on September 12 at 5:00 PM.
