Quy Nhơn United Prepares for New Football Season

On July 15, 2026, Quy Nhơn United officially began their training sessions in preparation for the 2026-2027 First Division season, with a clear goal of achieving promotion. The club has made notable changes to its coaching staff, including the addition of former Golden Ball winner Huỳnh Quốc Anh.

The team, known for its strong local support, was enthusiastic as they took to the training ground to kick off their preparations for the new season. The first training session was attended by Đinh Hồng Vinh, the club's president, who expressed optimism about the upcoming challenges.

Prior to this training camp, the club parted ways with head coach Trịnh Duy Quang and his two assistants, Quang Huy and Tấn Lợi. The new coaching team, which includes Hồng Phúc—an experienced figure in Vietnamese football—was present at the first training session. Two additional assistants, Phan Tôn Quyền and Huỳnh Quốc Anh, are expected to join the team in the coming days.

For the new season, Quy Nhơn United will see significant changes in its player roster compared to the 2025-2026 season. The club has introduced several young players with the ambition of competing for a top position in the First Division.

Before the training camp, the team bid farewell to 18 players who participated in the previous season, indicating a fresh start and a new strategy moving forward. This overhaul presents a considerable challenge for the coaching staff as they work to integrate new talent into the squad.

The professional league for the 2026-2027 season is set to kick off on August 30, 2026, with the National Super Cup match, followed by the National Championship starting on September 4, 2026, and the First Division commencing on September 11, 2026.
