Gerry Cardinale Introduces Rúben Amorim as New AC Milan Coach
Gerry Cardinale, the owner of AC Milan, has officially introduced Rúben Amorim as the club's new head coach.

Ruben Amorim, who recently took over as the head coach of AC Milan, has issued an apology to Manchester United fans for not addressing them after his dismissal from the club in January. During his first press conference with Milan, Amorim reflected on his time at Old Trafford, where he served as manager for 14 months.
Amorim expressed that it was a "pride" to coach Manchester United, despite the challenges he faced. He acknowledged that he had remained silent since his departure and regretted not having communicated with the fans during that period. "I learned a lot and made some mistakes during my time there," he stated. "I did not have the opportunity – and I apologize for that – to say anything to the Manchester United supporters at the time, but I am very proud to have been their coach for a year."
His tenure at United was marked by struggles, including a disappointing Premier League campaign where the team finished in 15th place, recording the lowest points total and the fewest goals scored in a season. Amorim's record included 24 wins, 18 draws, and 21 losses across 63 matches, resulting in a win percentage of just 32%, the lowest for any United manager in the league.
In his remarks, Amorim emphasized the importance of learning from experiences and acknowledged that while he made errors, he is determined to improve. "There are many things I could have done better in my last experience, but sometimes it’s like that. You need to learn to reach another level. Everyone learns from experience, and I have learned a lot. I will try to change, but some things never change. I believe I will be better. That’s all," he concluded.
