Vietnam Women's National Football Team Maintains Top Spot in Southeast Asia

The Vietnam women's national football team has successfully maintained its position as the number one team in Southeast Asia, according to the latest FIFA rankings released on June 22. With a total of 1,594 points, Vietnam ranks 37th globally, solidifying its status as the leading team in the region.

Following Vietnam, the Philippines occupies the 39th position in the world rankings with 1,566 points. Meanwhile, Thailand has made a slight improvement, moving up one spot to 49th place with 1,485 points. Myanmar ranks 55th with 1,461 points.

Notably, Cambodia has made significant progress, climbing four places to reach 113th in the world, marking the most substantial advancement in the region. In contrast, Indonesia has dropped four spots to 110th, while Malaysia has fallen three places to 95th. Laos has also seen a decline, dropping four ranks. Singapore has improved by one position to 151st, and Timor Leste is ranked 158th. The Brunei women's team currently does not have a ranking on the FIFA list.

On the continental level, the Vietnam women's team ranks sixth in Asia, following five top teams: Japan (5th), North Korea (11th), Australia (15th), China (16th), and South Korea (19th). The top team in the world is Spain, with 2,105.36 points, followed by the United States in second place with 2,057.92 points. Other leading teams include Germany, England, Japan, France, Brazil, Sweden, Canada, and the Netherlands.
