Young Striker Publicly Apologizes to Quang Nam FC for Discipline Breach

Hanoi, Vietnam - Rising Vietnamese soccer star Nguyen Dinh Bac has publicly apologized to Quang Nam FC for being late in reporting for training with the club in violation of team discipline. The 18-year-old striker took to social media on February 21st to express contrition for his actions and the impact it had on the club and coaching staff.

In his post, Bac took full responsibility for his mistake and did not make any excuses. He acknowledged that due to a lapse in focus, he failed to report to training on time with the rest of the Quang Nam squad as scheduled. This understandably frustrated head coach Van Sy Son and disrupted the team's preparations.

The young forward stated that it was an important lesson for him as he continues his professional career path. Bac called it a time to close the book on both positive and negative emotions, and to refocus entirely on helping Quang Nam FC perform well for the remainder of the season. He is committed to earning playing time with hard work and dedication to proving himself once again with his boyhood club.

Widely considered one of Vietnam's most promising talents, this discipline issue comes at a time when big things were expected of Bac. He had a breakout 2023, earning his first senior international cap for Vietnam in November during World Cup qualifying. In that debut, Bac remarkably scored against the Philippines to help his country to a 2-0 victory.

He went on to feature at the Asian Cup in January, notching another goal - this time against Japan on the biggest stage. Due to his impressive form throughout last year, Bac finished third in voting for Vietnam's Young Player of the Year award. At the domestic level with Quang Nam FC, he had contributed 2 goals in 7 V.League matches prior to this incident.

Bac will now serve a one match suspension and watch from the sidelines as Quang Nam takes on Ho Chi Minh City FC this coming Saturday. It remains to be seen how head coach Son will handle Bac's return to the team once his punishment is fulfilled. But if the apology is sincere, it appears the hugely talented young attacker is committed to putting this transgression behind him and getting his promising career back on track with the full support of his club.
