Fuel Prices Drop Today Amid Global Market Fluctuations

Today, July 30, 2026, fuel prices in Vietnam have decreased in line with global market trends. As of 8:17 AM local time, the price of WTI crude oil is at $83.95 per barrel, down by $0.51, representing a 0.60% decline. Similarly, Brent crude oil is priced at $87.50 per barrel, a decrease of $0.61 or 0.69%.

This drop follows a significant rise in oil prices earlier, where WTI and Brent increased by 6.56% and 7.91%, respectively, during the previous trading session on July 29. The fluctuations in oil prices are attributed to geopolitical tensions, particularly involving the United States and Saudi Arabia's military actions against Iranian-backed groups in Iraq. These actions have raised concerns about potential disruptions in oil supply.

In domestic markets, the retail fuel prices have been adjusted by Petrolimex according to the latest pricing schedule. The current prices as of today are as follows:

  • E10 gasoline is expected to rise by approximately 800 VND per liter.
  • E5 RON 92-II gasoline may see an increase of about 900 VND per liter.
  • Diesel fuel prices could go up by around 1,200 VND per liter.

These expected increases in local fuel prices are based on market predictions for the next pricing cycle. However, it is important to note that today’s fuel prices are subject to change based on ongoing market conditions.
