Hospital Ends Internship for Two Students After Disturbing Video

The Đức Giang General Hospital in Hanoi has taken decisive action after a video featuring two medical students went viral on social media, causing significant public backlash. The hospital confirmed that the individuals in the video were not healthcare professionals but rather interns from a medical training institution.

In the clip, the students, dressed in medical attire, were seen laughing and making inappropriate comments, including a disturbing remark about administering poison. This behavior was deemed unacceptable, especially in a hospital environment, leading to widespread criticism from viewers.

On July 26, a representative from Đức Giang General Hospital addressed the incident, clarifying that the students, identified as Đ.T.M. and H.T.T., were interns and not staff members. Following the hospital's discovery of the video, they promptly collaborated with the educational institution to terminate the students' internships. The hospital has since returned the students to their school for further evaluation and disciplinary action.

The hospital emphasized its commitment to upholding professional standards and ethical conduct among its staff and interns. They reiterated that the actions displayed in the video do not reflect the attitudes or professionalism of the hospital's healthcare team. In light of this incident, Đức Giang General Hospital has urged educational institutions to enhance their supervision and ethical training for interns during their practical experiences in healthcare settings.

Furthermore, the hospital has made it clear that it will not accept any interns who display unprofessional behavior that could negatively impact the hospital environment or its reputation.
