Honda Vietnam Increases Prices of 17 Motorcycle Models

Honda Vietnam has officially raised the prices of 17 motorcycle models, effective from July 1. The price adjustments affect a variety of models, including popular choices like the Wave Alpha and Vision, as well as higher-end models such as the SH. The increases range from approximately 100,000 to 700,000 VND, depending on the model.

The company stated that the price changes are a response to global fluctuations in raw material costs and are aimed at maintaining product quality. This adjustment primarily impacts popular gasoline-powered motorcycles and scooters, while electric motorcycles and larger motorcycles remain unaffected.

The price increases are not uniform across all models. For instance, basic models like the Wave Alpha, Future, and RSX have seen a price increase of around 100,000 VND across all versions. Popular scooters such as the Honda Vision and Air Blade have increased by approximately 190,000 to 200,000 VND, depending on the variant. The smaller sports bike Winner, as well as the SH 125i/160 and the ADV 350 scooters, have increased by 200,000 VND. The premium scooter model, Honda SH300i, has experienced the highest increase of 700,000 VND, while the sports version has seen a decrease of 300,000 VND.

This marks the fourth price increase by the Japanese manufacturer in the past six years, with previous adjustments occurring in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The primary reasons for these price hikes have been the rising costs of materials and transportation.

Honda boasts the most diverse range of motorcycles in Vietnam, offering 17 models with engine capacities ranging from 110cc to 350cc, alongside 14 large motorcycle models and 3 electric motorcycle models. For decades, Honda has dominated the motorcycle market in Vietnam, with no significant competitors in terms of sales. By 2025, Honda is projected to sell 2,245,562 motorcycles, capturing approximately 85.8% of the gasoline motorcycle market share in Vietnam. On a global scale, Honda remains a leading name, selling over 20 million motorcycles and holding about 40% of the industry's market share.
