EVN targets safe, stable power supply
The Vietnam Electricity (EVN) Group seeks to provide safe power supply for the final months of 2022 amid
Power Project Management Board 2, or PMB2, coordinated with relevant agencies to connect the Bo Y 220kV switching substation in Ngoc Hoi District, Kon Tum Province, and its 220kV lines to the national grid late last month, according to the PetroTimes news site (petrovietnam.petrotimes.vn).
The project, owned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and managed by PMB2, will import electricity from Laos Nam Kong 1, 2 and 3 hydropower plants to Vietnam.
The connection of the Bo Y 220kV switching substation and the 220kV lines to the national grid will help realize the bilateral commitments of the Vietnamese and Laos governments in energy development cooperation and ensure the country’s power supply during the hot season.
