Two fresh imported cases of Covid-19 reported

HCMC – The Ministry of Health this evening, April 4, confirmed two more Covid-19 patients who are Vietnamese citizens returning home from overseas and were quarantined upon arrival, sending the country’s tally to 2,631 cases to date.

The new cases are a 24-year-old woman and her one-year-old baby girl, residing in the southern province of Binh Phuoc. They entered Vietnam on April 2 through Moc Bai International Border Gate in Tay Ninh Province and are being treated at a local medical center.

Of the country’s total infections, 2,383 coronavirus patients have been declared free of the respiratory disease, while fatalities remained at 35.

During the latest coronavirus wave in Vietnam, which has been put under control, 910 locally-infected cases have been reported in 13 provinces and cities since January 27.
