Singer Hari Won has recently taken South Korean influencer Young Ju on an exciting journey through the Mekong Delta. This adventure occurred at the end of July, where they visited a tourist destination in Dong Thap, a region known for its lush landscapes and rich culture.
Having lived in Vietnam for several years, Hari Won is well-acquainted with the local areas. When Young Ju suggested a day out, they opted for the picturesque waterways of the Southwest region, which offered convenient tour arrangements and easy transportation.
The trip began with a two-hour journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Thoi Son Island. Upon arrival, the two influencers followed their guide to explore the natural beauty of the area, which included boat rides along the canals, admiring the rows of water coconut trees, and crossing monkey bridges. They also visited fruit gardens that were in the harvest season, enjoying fresh rambutan, plums, and longans.
In addition to the fruit picking, they experienced making puffed rice and learned about the traditional process of producing coconut candy at a local workshop. Young Ju expressed nostalgia during their visit to a local home, recalling her childhood memories of her grandparents in South Korea, who kept bees for 20 years. She fondly remembered tasting honey that her grandfather harvested himself.
Young Ju, who is 31 years old, was born and raised in South Korea and previously participated in Mnet's Idol School, where she ranked 25th. Despite her popularity and a significant following on social media, she chose not to pursue a career in K-pop but instead moved to Vietnam to seek opportunities in the entertainment industry. She has appeared in popular music videos, including 'Dreamers' by Noo Phuoc Thinh and 'Love, Don't Swear' by Chau Khai Phong. In 2024, she plans to release her debut single titled 'Can I Have You?' which has already received positive feedback from fans.
Throughout her time in Vietnam, Young Ju has developed a close friendship with Hari Won, who is also a prominent figure in the Vietnamese entertainment scene. Hari Won, 41, is of Korean descent and gained fame after participating in the reality show The Amazing Race Vietnam in 2013. She later transitioned into a successful career as a singer and actress, releasing hit songs that have garnered millions of views. Hari Won and her husband, actor Tran Thanh, celebrated their nine-year wedding anniversary this year, emphasizing their strong bond built on mutual understanding and respect.
