The prime-time series 'Debt of Life' has been making waves on social media as it approaches its finale, captivating audiences with its intense and dramatic developments. Set in a historical context, the show explores the philosophy of cause and effect through the story of a wealthy family, where greed and jealousy lead to the loss of humanity among its members.
The final episodes have ramped up the tension with a series of unexpected events, particularly the shocking fate of the character Kim Ngân, portrayed by actress Lê Thu. In episode 52, a pivotal scene shows Kim Ngân being murdered by her husband, Vũ Phương, played by Lê Minh Thuấn. This moment has sparked outrage among viewers, many of whom feel that Kim Ngân, who devoted her love and loyalty to her husband, did not deserve such a tragic outcome.
Actress Lê Thu shared her experience filming this emotionally and physically demanding scene. She revealed that the crew had to start early but faced delays due to rain, only beginning to shoot close to midnight. During the filming, she found herself submerged in muddy water, struggling to breathe as she was submerged. "Every time I came up, my hair was tangled with leaves and mud. To capture the most impressive and realistic shots for the audience, we had to film until 3 a.m. in the freezing cold of the night," Lê Thu recounted.
In addition to Kim Ngân, the character 'Mợ Hai,' played by Huỳnh Hồng Loan, has also received positive feedback. Huỳnh Hồng Loan expressed her surprise at the audience's affection for her character, stating, "I think Mợ Hai is about 80% like me in real life. She has her own opinions and knows how to resist when necessary, which is quite close to my true personality. I don't want to repeat the image of girls who always accept their fate as before."
Furthermore, actress Tú Tri has garnered attention for her role as Bảo Lan, a scheming and capricious girl in love. After each episode, her character has become a hot topic due to her provocative actions. Tú Tri mentioned that this is the most significant antagonist role she has ever taken on, emphasizing that Bảo Lan's actions stem from deep-seated pain and blind love, rather than being a one-dimensional villain.
