The installation of 17 wind turbines on the Cau Dat tea-growing farm, a popular location for cloud hunters in Da Lat, is the latest backdrop for Vietnamese shutterbugs.

Located in Xuan Truong Commune, Da Lat, the Cau Dat tea-growing farm is well known for its primitive and serene beauty.

Now, with the addition of the 17 wind turbines, the farm is a serious contender for the lead in the city’s list of must-see attractions.

Getting to Cau Dat Farm

From the center of Da Lat, travelers can drive a car or motorbike to Cau Dat Farm. The 26-kilometer route is paved and flanked by breathtaking views.

The best time to visit Cau Dat Farm is in the early morning, when the clouds begin to rise off the mountains and the sun starts to peek over the hills. 

To make it to the farm in time for sunrise, travelers should leave the center of Da Lat by 4:00 am.

The 90-meter-tall wind turbines are visible from National Highway 20, so it is pretty difficult to miss the farm.

Stunning photos at every corner

The wind turbines at Cau Dat are massive and visible from just about every corner of the farm. 

Their size and uniqueness become a major draw for couples, families, and tourists.

The best times to photograph the wind turbines are before 9:00 am or after 4:00 pm, when the sun is not too bright, resulting more natural-looking photos.

In addition to Cau Dat Tea Farm, visit wind turbines in other famous destinations, such as Quy Nhon, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Soc Trang, and Dak Nong.
