Nam A Bank donated 10 billion VND to build bridge in Long An province

In April 2023, Nam A Bank implemented a series of practical programs such as building bridges, planting trees to protect the environment, giving houses, etc., to celebrate the Hung king anniversary, the anniversary of 48 years since our country united and International Labor Day.

Accordingly, on April 22, Nam A Bank cooperated with the People's Committee of Vinh Hung district (Long An province) and Nong Thon Viet Magazine to hold the inauguration ceremony of 14 rural bridges. In which, there are 13 bridges supported by Nam A Bank to build with a total cost of more than 10 billion VND. Attending the ceremony were former President Truong Tan Sang, representatives of local authorities and local people.

Vinh Hung district is located in the northwest of Long An province, more than 90 km from Tan An city, and has a border with Cambodia more than 45 km long. This place is often flooded and the infrastructure is limited. Due to lack of bridges, people's travel and trade faced many difficulties, limiting the socio-economic development.

Coping with these difficulties, Nam A Bank has accompanied the locality to build and repair 13 bridges in Vinh Hung district. There are 3 bridges on the bank of South Canal 28 in Khanh Hung commune, 2 bridges on the north bank of Vam Co Tay river in Tuyen Binh commune, 3 bridges on the south bank of Vam Co Tay river and 4 bridges on the east bank of Lo Gach River. Each bridge is designed and built with a load capacity of 8 tons and 4m wide at key locations of the district.

As one of the first people to walk on the new bridge, Mrs. Ngoc Hanh (60 years old, Khanh Hung commune) shared: "For a long time I have only wished to see a sturdy bridge built in my countryside. Children go to school, play on concrete bridges and do not have to worry on rainy days. As for me, to visit my daughter on the other side of the river, I don't have to take a long detour anymore."

People's dream of a sturdy concrete bridge has now come true. The new bridges will be into the district's traffic network, connecting important places such as schools, health stations, markets... and other infrastructures in the area and the vicinity. Since then, perfecting the transport infrastructure system, linking the region, enhancing socio-economic development with the locality sustainable development.

Also on April 22, Nam A Bank launched the program "I choose to live green towards the roots", planting apricot trees at the complex of Hung Temple - Prenn waterfall tourist area, Da Lat City. This is one of the typical flowers of the mountain town, its trunk looks like a peach-plum, but when the flower blooms, it is a single 5-petal flower, like the yellow apricot blossom. In spring, the plum blossoms show off its pink color, completely changing the color of the sky in Da Lat, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and admire.

It is known that the Prenn waterfall area has beautiful terrain and is a famous scenic spot of the city. The planting of more apricot trees in this area creates a unique highlight, contributing to spreading tree planting activities, preserving the ecosystem, responding to climate change as well as attracting tourists.

Previously, this bank also coordinated with Miss Universe Vietnam organization and donated to build Kenh Nhanh bridge in Duc Hue district, Long An province. The bridge is 12m long and 3m wide to help improve people's lives. At the same time, the People's Committee of Chanh An Commune (Vinh Long) donated houses to families to overcome their life difficulties.

A representative of Nam A Bank said: "The bank pays special attention to social activities with sustainable values such as developing infrastructure, focusing on the environment... In the future, Nam A Bank will continue to extend this meaningful operation, affirming the motto of promoting business activities with fulfilling social responsibility at the same time".
