HCMC – Steelmaker Hoa Phat Group has cut a deal to export 10,000 tons of steel wire rods to Europe, marking the firm’s first shipment of long steel products to the market.

The shipment is scheduled for February next year, the local media reported.

A representative of Hoa Phat Hung Yen Steel Company said that steel wire rods are produced in line with the ASTM standards, using low-carbon technology.

Hoa Phat’s long steel products have been exported to America, Asia, Africa and Australia. The first shipment of long steel to Europe will make its products present on five continents.

Apart from long steel products, Hoa Phat has been shipping hot rolled coil steel to Europe.

In addition, the local steelmaker has won some orders to export its steel products to Canada, Cambodia, South Korea and Thailand in early 2023.

Between January and November, Hoa Phat exported 1.1 million tons of construction steel to many countries and territories, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, Canada and Australia.
