Kamado gets approval for granite tile factory

DANANG – The Kamado Joint Stock Company has received approval from the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center (IPC) to develop its over-VND988-billion granite tile factory in the Binh Nghi industrial cluster.

The facility will cover 21.9 hectares in Binh Nghi Commune, Tay Son District, Binh Dinh Province, and produce granite tiles with a capacity of 18 million cubic meters per year after its completion in September 2024.

The project will create jobs for roughly 800 people in the province and partly solve the problem of waste stone powder around the area.

It will help promote socio-economic development in Tay Son District and Binh Dinh Province as a whole, according to Nguyen Bay, director of IPC Binh Dinh.

Binh Nghi is one of seven industrial clusters that have been expanded since this year. Other clusters comprise Ngoc Son-Hoai Thanh Tay in Hoai Nhon District; Go Cay, Go Giua, Tay Xuan, and Hoc Bom in Tay Son District; and Van Canh in Van Canh District.

Additionally, the province has been calling for investment in the technical infrastructure construction of some 13 other industrial clusters with a total area of 395 hectares in the districts of An Nhon, Hoai An, Tuy Phuoc, Hoai Nhon, Phu My and Tay Son.

Currently, the south-central province of Binh Dinh is home to 44 industrial clusters spanning over 939 hectares.
