An exhibition to promote the culture, tourism, and specialties of southeast localities is taking place in
The exhibition is taking place at the Saigon Exhibition Convention Center from October 19 to 22, co-held by the Investment and Trade Promotion Center of HCMC (ITPC) and the Food and Foodstuff Association of HCMC.
HCMC FOODEX 2022, themed “Interconnection of values and development”, is being attended by over 240 booths showcasing and introducing raw, processed and deep processed food and foodstuffs, apart from beverages, materials for the food processing industry and machinery for food manufacturing, packaging and preservation and other related categories.
Visitors to the exhibition can find their favorite specialties, namely Gia Lai bee honey, Soc Trang rice, Binh Phuoc cashew nuts, Long An lean pork paste and fermented pork sausages and Cambodia’s specialties.
The show is also the place for start-ups to promote their new products, allowing them to penetrate the market and expand their business effectively and sustainably.
Food and foodstuff is one of the four key sectors of HCMC, making up 13.78% gross output of the whole industry, creating 13.69% added value for the whole industry.
Adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the city’s food and foodstuff is facing multiple hardships and challenges due to the disruption of material supply, rising input material prices and a suspended distribution system.
Given this situation, this is a good trade promotion activity to support enterprises to resume their business operations, expand the market and assert their product quality and brands before domestic and international clients.
