Phu Quoc continuously ranks among the world's best destinations in 2024

International media continuously praise the Pearl Island of Phu Quoc in the list of the world's best destinations for 2024.

Travel Lemming - a famous online travel guide site, announced the world's 50 best destinations in 2024. Phu Quoc ranked 6th, the only representative of Vietnam on the list.

The destination must pass many strict selection criteria by a team of tourism experts worldwide to be in Travel Lemming's annual top 50 world tourist destinations. The list for 2024 is aimed at new destinations suitable for long trips and slow and sustainable travel after an "exploding" year in 2023, the "revenge" travel trend.

According to the Travel Lemming site, Vietnam's Pearl Island "beckons" international tourists with its visa-free policy and resorts on the world's most beautiful beaches. In addition to the "specialty" of fine white sand, Phu Quoc entertains visitors with red sunsets, turning the sky into a colorful kaleidoscope.

The experiences suggested by the travel website when coming to Phu Quoc are taking the Hon Thom cable car, diving to see coral, and watching the sunset. Phu Quoc National Park, a beautiful bay in the south of the island with Kem Beach and Ong Doi Cape, is an attraction to be noticed.

"Vietnam's largest island is a hidden gem for tourists passionate about nature and luxury resorts. Phu Quoc has the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, a famous pearl farming industry and breathtaking sunsets best in the world", Travel Lemming describes. The article's author also divides the experience in Phu Quoc into 2 parts: exploring nature and relaxing at the world's most luxurious resorts. JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort is suggested, with a unique theme - the campus of a fictional French university in the 19th century.

Another advantage that helps Phu Quoc get on the list is that it is the only destination in Vietnam that applies a special visa policy with many advantages when foreigners entering the country are exempted from visas and the temporary stay period does not exceed 30 days.

Not only Travel Lemming but after just a few days, Travel Off Path - a famous American travel website named Phu Quoc- is in the top 6 destinations worldwide for 2024. This website called Phu Quoc a "gem". of Southeast Asia", calling this the perfect place to enjoy what nature bestows on this region fully. With nearly 150 km of coastline with fine white sand beaches and clear turquoise water, Phu Quoc is a tropical paradise with a warm climate.

In October this year, Travel Off Path also chose Phu Quoc as number 1 in the list of four Southeast Asian islands that are best for solo travel. Solo travelers are suggested to "kill" time by taking the cable car to Hon Thom Island to watch the sea, swim, kayaking... Visitors to Phu Quoc will also feel comfortable walking around at night because the island is very safe.

Most recently, Phu Quoc surpassed many world-famous beaches to become the world's leading natural island destination awarded by the World Travel Awards.

Being continuously named in the list of best destinations in 2024 by international media has shown that Phu Quoc is increasingly asserting its position on the world tourism map. Previously, the beauty of the beaches in Phu Quoc was also praised and honored by the international press, especially the beaches in the South Island region. Bai Kem was once praised as one of the 50 most beautiful beaches on the planet in 2018, voted by Flight Network travel company (Canada). In 2015, CN Traveler voted Bai Sao into the world's 10 most pristine and quiet beaches, next to famous destinations such as Fiji and Maldives... At the end of 2021, Le Figaro newspaper introduced Bai Sao. Sao is one of the 7 most valuable experiences when coming to Vietnam.

Recently, on November 7, the "bible of the travel world," Lonely Planet, published an article suggesting the 10 most beautiful beaches in Vietnam that tourists should experience, including Phu Quoc. According to Lonely Planet's description, Ngoc Island has quickly "transformed" from a sleepy island into an attractive destination not to be missed for foreign tourists and sun lovers. Some of Lonely Planet's suggested experiences for tourists are taking the 8km long cable car from Sunset Town to Hon Thom Island to see Phu Quoc beach from above or taking a tour to 3 pristine islands in the South.
