Day 1
Vietnam Trip-Discover the highlights of Vietnam
Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Authentic Vietnam Trip. We will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Have a break before taking a guided walking tour through the French and Old Quarter (if you prefer, the walking tour can be delayed until the following day).

Day 2
Hanoi Historical Sites (B)

Visit some of Hanoi attractions including Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and his house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and National Museum of Vietnam History or you can choose other historical sites instead.

Day 3
Immerse in Local Culture (B)

Experience local life near railways and take a short train ride across the historic Long Bien bridge. Explore the market on Hoang Hoa Tham street where bonsai, flowers and birds are sold. Discover Air Bazaar market selling tools, bike components and other types of electrical supplies, each of which is displayed in a specific alley.

Day 4
Hanoi – Sapa (B, L)

Take a 5-hour drive to Sapa mountain town. Check into the hotel in the center and take a rest before traveling to explore the spectacular valley of Muong Hoa. Here your guide will escort you for an easy hiking tour to explore the culture of tribal groups including H’mong and Day ethnic groups.

Day 5
Sapa Life and Nature (B, D)

Travel to a wonderful place – “off the beaten path”. After an hour’s drive, we will start hiking to visit 2 villages here: Ban Khoang (inhabited by Red Dao ethnic people) and Ta Giang Phinh (inhabited by Black H’mong ethnic people). Return to your hotel in Sapa center. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 6
Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)

Morning is at your leisure before taking a 5-hour drive to Hanoi. Optional Tour: visiting Cat Cat village which is home to H’mong or Fansipan considered “the roof of Indochina” – the highest mountain in Indochina.

Day 7
Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B, L,D)

Take a 2-hour drive to the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay for a 2-day cruise trip. On arrival, the crew members will welcome you with a complimentary drink before you cruise through the amazing limestone islands. Enjoy a wonderful time in the bay with many interesting activities such as swimming, kayaking, exploring caves, and cooking demonstrations.

Day 8
Halong Bay – Ninh Binh (B, L, D)

Enjoy further exploration in the bay before disembarking around noon. Take 3 hours to drive to Ninh Binh which consists of stunning landscapes and historical sites. On arrival, spend a couple of hours on a rowboat to explore Trang An landscape, a World Heritage Site. Afterward, head to the hotel for overnight.

Day 9
Ninh Binh (B, L)

Morning: visit Bai Dinh, the largest Buddhist Temple Complex which holds lots of records, including the largest gilded Buddha statue in Asia, the biggest bronze bell in Vietnam and the longest corridor of Arhats.
Afternoon: take a cycling tour through scenic routes and explore Thung Nham Bird Sanctuary.

Day 10
Ninh Binh – Hue (B, L)

Drive to Hang Mua where you can enjoy a fantastic view from the mountaintop after climbing 486 stone steps. Afterward, head to visit Hoa Lu which was the capital from 968 to 1010. Have lunch and transfer to the airport for a one-hour flight to Hue city. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hue center.

Day 11
Tour of Hue (B, L)

Today, your guide and driver will take you to explore Hue’s popular historical sites including the Former Imperial City, Thien Mu pagoda, Khai Dinh mausoleum, and An Hien traditional garden house.
Optional Tour: take a rickshaw around the city and enjoy a royal dinner with a music show.

Day 12
Hue – Hoi An (B)

After breakfast, we depart for Hoi An Ancient Town, one of the most favorable destinations in Vietnam. There are many wonderful spots en-route you can enjoy as well as a stop for refreshments and to freshen up such as Lang Co stunning beach, Hai Van spectacular Pass, and Marble Mountain. On arrival, check-in and have a break before taking a guided walking tour to explore the Old Town of Hoi An.

Day 13
My Son Sanctuary (B)

Morning, your guide and driver will pick you up for a one-hour drive to My Son. Here we will visit the My Son museum,  enjoy Apsara dance (traditional Cham dance) and stroll around to explore the sanctuary, one of the 1st Hindu Temple Complexes in Southeast Asia.  Afterward, take a boat back to Hoi An town.

Day 14
Hoi An (B)

Day of leisure. However, if you wish to have more activities on your vacation, we would like to recommend optional tours as follows:
Tour of Hoi An Cooking Class – experience local culture with interesting activities such as cycling through the countryside, exploring Tra Que vegetable village and cooking demonstrations.
Tour of Bana Hills – one of the most fascinating places in Danang.

Day 15
Hoi An – Saigon (B)

Morning, our driver will take you to Danang airport for a one-hour flight to Saigon. Afternoon, your guide will escort you to explore the most popular sights in Saigon including Ho Chi Minh Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and War Remnant Museum.

Day 16
Cu Chi Tunnels (B)

Drive to Cu Chi Tunnels called Iron Triangle Zone which was constructed during the Vietnam war. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit part of the tunnel system, traps, reserves of weapons and ammunition, dispensary facilities for surgery, shelters for meetings, and a smoke-tight Hoang-Cam kitchen. Return to your hotel in Saigon center in the afternoon. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 17
Saigon – Mekong (B, L, D)

Today, We will leave Saigon for Mekong Tour. After more than 2 hours, we arrive in Cai Be where you embark on a boat, the beginning of a great journey to explore the huge river delta and life of Mekong. The trip offers several interesting things:
– Visit local workshops and see how to make coconut candy, pop rice
– Visit a fruit garden and enjoy local fruit with local entertainment.
– Take a sampan to discover local life along small canals.

Day 18
Mekong – Saigon(B)

Early morning, your guide will take you on a cycling tour through villages to explore local life on the island. Afterward, have breakfast, check out, and then return to your boat. Visit the floating market and brick factory along the river. Continue to cruise to Vinh Long wharf where we disembark and drive back to Saigon.

Day 19
Saigon – Journey Home (B)

Feel free to stroll around to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City at the last minute or just relax and recall fantastic experiences on the Authentic Vietnam Trip. Our driver will pick you up on time and transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight home.
