Chinese pagoda in Soc Trang

Arhat Pagoda, Ba Hoa Temple, Ba Thien Hau Temple in Chaozhou, and Guangzhou are famous spiritual spring tourism destinations in Soc Trang.

Located downstream of Hau River, Soc Trang has cultural interference between ethnic Chinese, Kinh and Khmer, in which many Chinese temples have a long history, contributing to the diversity of spiritual and cultural tourism in Soc Trang. .

One of the special pagodas in Soc Trang that does not worship Buddha but Ba Hoa is Hoa Duc Tu. Locals used to call it Ba Hoa Temple , which is a small temple located at the corner of Nguyen Dinh Chieu and Phan Dinh Phung streets, ward 4, Soc Trang city.

Legend has it that more than 100 years ago at the ancient shackle tree at the upper intersection, on dark nights people often saw sparks rising from the top of the tree. They believe that there is an apparition of Lady Hoa, so they set up a small temple to worship and pray to avoid the risks and misfortunes caused by fire. Over time, Ba Hoa temple has more and more people from all over the province come to worship, especially the Chinese and Kinh and Khmer. Photo: Tran Trung Nhan
