Kylian Mbappé has officially left the France national team after suffering a knee injury during their recent UEFA Nations League match against Turkey. The injury occurred shortly after he scored the only goal of the game, leading to a 1-0 victory for France, coached by Zinedine Zidane.

The French Football Federation confirmed that Mbappé has sustained a tendon injury in his left knee and will return to Madrid for treatment. The incident happened when he took a shot with his right foot, causing excessive strain on his left knee. Although he attempted to celebrate, he was visibly limping and had to be substituted shortly after, in the 59th minute, for Desire Doue.

Following the match, Zidane addressed the media, stating that Mbappé's condition is not promising. He expressed concern, saying, "He is not well. Unfortunately, the situation does not look good. I think he will have to return home. We will not take any risks. He overstretched his knee while shooting, which really discourages him from continuing to play." This leaves France with upcoming matches, including an away game against Belgium and two home matches against Italy and Belgium in early October.

Currently, it is unclear if Zidane will call up another player to replace Mbappé for the remaining matches of this international break. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is particularly anxious about the situation due to Mbappé's previous knee issues last season. The club is awaiting further medical reports from the French national team's medical staff to assess the severity of the injury.
