FIFA Unveils Two Versions of the ASEAN Cup 2026 Trophy

FIFA has recently unveiled images of two distinct trophies designated for the champions of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. This tournament will see participation from 14 national teams, with 8 competing in Division 1 and 6 in Division 2.

Matches in Division 1 will be held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, Indonesia. Meanwhile, Division 2 games will take place at Kai Tak and Mong Kok Stadiums in Hong Kong, China.

In a new format for the competition, there will be two champions, and FIFA has announced the corresponding trophy versions for each division. The Division 1 trophy was presented at the Indonesia Sports Summit 2026 in Jakarta, attended by Erick Thohir, the President of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 will differ from previous editions as it will be held during FIFA Days, meaning that results will contribute significantly to the FIFA rankings. Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand have been identified by FIFA as strong contenders for the Division 1 championship.

Vietnam's national team will kick off their journey in the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 with a match against the Philippines at 19:30 on September 26. Following that, they will face Thailand at the same time on September 29, and conclude the group stage against Pakistan at 16:00 on October 2.

If Vietnam finishes at the top of their group, they will secure a place in the Division 1 final. Should they place second, they will compete in the third-place playoff. This schedule presents an opportunity for the team to accumulate FIFA ranking points in an official tournament while aiming for their first title in the FIFA ASEAN Cup.
