The defending champions showcased their dominance in front of nearly five thousand fans, advancing to the final where they will face either Japan or the USA.

Wilfredo Leon, Poland's star outside hitter, was instrumental in the match, delivering an impressive six aces and contributing a total of 16 points. The match ended with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-17, marking Poland's fourth appearance in a VNL gold medal match. They have previously won the title in 2023 and 2025, while finishing as runners-up in 2021.

Poland took control from the start, with Leon leading the charge in the first set, which they won decisively at 25-16. The second set saw Slovenia attempt to rally, but Poland regained momentum and closed it out at 25-19. In the third set, Poland quickly established a 4-0 lead, and despite Slovenia's efforts, they could not recover, with Poland sealing the match at 25-17.

In addition to Leon's performance, Bartlomiej Boladz contributed significantly with 15 points, including two blocks and an ace. Slovenia's Alen Pajenk was the standout for his team, scoring 11 points with four blocks and two aces. After the match, Leon expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance, noting, "Not always you can win 3-0 in the semifinals. We dominated in each of the three sets. I hope there will be more aces in the final."

Slovenia, on the other hand, will have to regroup quickly as they prepare for the bronze medal match against the loser of the semifinal between Japan and the USA. Outside Rok Mozic reflected on the match, stating, "We had some opportunities where we could do better. The medal is the only goal that we have, so we’ll give everything we have to win it." The bronze medal match is scheduled for Sunday at 15:40 local time, followed by the final at 19:30.
