Fuel prices fall slightly
HCMC – Domestic fuel retail prices were adjusted down by VND70-500 per liter or kilogram today, December 21, according to an announcement jointly released by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.

RON 95-III gasoline now sells for VND20,700 per liter, down by VND500 and the price of E5 RON 92 bio-gasoline is VND19,970 per liter, down by VND370.

Kerosene and diesel oil were cut by VND70 per liter at VND21,830 and VND21,600, respectively. Heavy fuel oil is capped at VND12,680 per kilogram, declining VND150.

During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided to extract VND300 for each liter of E5 RON 92 sold and VND400 for each liter of RON 95 to replenish the national fuel price stabilization fund. The respective extraction level for each liter or kilogram of diesel oil and heavy fuel oil is VND800 and VND500.

Meanwhile, local fuel traders are not allowed to tap the fund.
