Quy Nhon, a coastal city in the south-central Vietnamese province of Binh Dinh, has emerged as a new hotspot for vacationers thanks to its countless stunning tourist attractions. 

Quy Nhon has two seasons – rainy and dry – and each offers visitors a unique perspective on the city.

The rainy season in Quy Nhon typically begins in September and lasts until February, while the dry season begins in March and ends in September.

When visiting Quy Nhon during the dry season, visitors should bring sunscreen, medications, and appropriate clothing. 

They should also make sure to stay hydrated because the weather is often scorching hot, though such high temperatures are occasionally mitigated by the ocean breeze.

Quy Nhon has a unique terrain flanked by mountains on one side and a long, curved, white-sand beach on the other.

Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Quy Nhon include Eo Gio (Windy Strait), Cu Lao Xanh (Green Island), and Ky Co Beach.

However, this city is more than just a tourist destination; it is also imbued with ancient Vietnamese cultural and historical values.

Lo Huu Duc Anh, a Vietnamese travel blogger, recently took a two-week trip to the city where he dedicated his time to visiting lesser-known attractions and seeking a more ‘local experience’ by immersing himself in the local culture and history.

According to Anh, the trip was a one-of-a-kind experience filled with family meals, staying with locals, and making new friends – experiences he likely would have missed out on had he stuck to a typical tourist itinerary.

Some of Anh’s favorite activities during his trip to Quy Nhon included hiking, trying the local cuisine, visiting museums, and discovering hidden gems in the region.

"My only regret from my trip to Quy Nhon is that I was unable to visit Hon Kho (Kho Islet) to see the seaweed fields beneath the sea because the season had ended," Anh shared.

“I also missed out on the opportunity to learn about hat boi (classical Vietnamese opera) culture in the region.

“However, I’ll definitely visit the city again."
