ĐÀ NẴNG — The central city’s tourism industry officially resumed its international air routes by hosting two international flights of Singapore Airlines and Thai Vietjet with 310 passengers on Sunday, marking the first air routes operating since reopening after closures due to the pandemic.

Singapore Airlines will begin daily flights between Singapore and Đa Nẵng, while Thai Viejet will operate three flights per week later.

Đa Nẵng also tested its capacity in preparation for the 16th annual Routes Asia Development Forum 2022 on June 6-8.

Earlier, Vietnam Airlines anfd Viejet Air also operated their domestic flights to connect Đa Nẵng with cities and provinces including Ha Noi, HCM City, Hải Phòng, Cần Thơ, Phu Quốc, Khanh Hoa, Đa Lạt, Vinh, Thanh Hoa and Ban Me Thuot.

Last week, Đa Nẵng successfully hosted the 2022 Manulife Đa Nẵng International Marathon with the participation of 5,000 runners, while thousands of participants joined MICE events in the city between January and March.

The coastal city plans to host the Iroman Race in May and an event on the Asian Development Tour in June.
