HÀ NỘI —  Viet Nam has been named Asia's best river cruise destination at this year's World Cruise Awards, the most prestigious prize in the global cruise tourism industry.

The honour was based on votes cast by an array of tourism experts and readers from across the world.

Other winners in Asia included Singapore, who won the title of “Asia’s Best Cruise Destination 2021”; Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore was crowned Asia's Best Cruise Terminal 2021 and the Dream Cruise won the title of “Asia’ Best Cruise Line 2021”.

Over the years, river cruise tours in Viet Nam have been constantly developed and renewed, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign tourists. Among them are highlights such as cruise tours on the Sai Gòn River, Hồ Chí Minh City to watch the sunset and the shimmering city scene at night.

Đa Nẵng with the Han River flowing around the city has brought visitors to experience a high-class cruise tour to enjoy the Chăm dance on the river.

World Cruise Awards recognise and reward excellence in cruise industry. It is the sister organisation of World Travel Awards.

Earlier, World Travel Awards honoured Viet Nam as Asia's Leading Destination 2021 and Asia's Leading Sustainable Tourism Destination 2021.

World Golf Awards named Viet Nam as ‘Asia’s Best Golf Destination’ and ‘World’s Best Golf Destination’.

World MICE Awards revealed Hồ Chí Minh City as Asia’s Best MICE Destination 2021.
