Dong Nai will plan 4 large logistics centers

New logistics centers are planned to handle 60-70% of the total goods volume of Dong Nai province ( Vietnam ), while the remaining centers and areas providing traditional logistics services will take on 30-40%.

Draft planning for Dong Nai province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the consulting unit proposes planning 4 large-scale logistics centers.

Accordingly, 4 centers include the eastern warehouse center - Trang Bom (620ha); Phuoc An port logistics center (234ha); the North center of Long Thanh airport (100ha); Southern center of the airport, the perspective of a logistics center.

Logistics centers are planned close to traffic hubs: Long Thanh Airport, Phuoc An Port, and Trang Bom railway station to facilitate the transportation of goods and reduce logistics costs.

Dong Nai ( Vietnam ) aims to become a transit gateway for the entire South by 2030 with an infrastructure system that well meets the transportation and warehousing needs of businesses in the region. The logistics industry will have the highest growth rate among the province's service industries.

Therefore, the draft planning targets that by 2030, the growth rate of Dong Nai's logistics services will reach about 30-35%/year, and the contribution to the province's service industry GDP will be from 20-25%.

New logistics centers are planned to handle 60-70% of the total goods volume of Dong Nai province, while the remaining centers and areas providing traditional logistics services will take on 30-40%.

According to the draft planning, one of the advantages for Dong Nai ( Vietnam ) to develop logistics is the advantage of industrial parks that have strongly boosted businesses' demand for import and export of goods. This is identified as a potential market for Dong Nai's port system, freight transport, and logistics services.

Dong Nai's logistics development potential benefits from key transportation projects as well as strong local industry and neighboring provinces such as Ho Chi Minh City ( Vietnam ) and Binh Duong ( Vietnam ).

With Long Thanh International Airport, Phuoc An port cluster and logistics centers in Trang Bom, Ho Nai, Dong Nai province ( Vietnam ) have the potential to become a regional aviation center with comprehensive logistics services and processing centers. Leading import and export goods manager for the Southern Key Economic Region. Enhancing connectivity between provinces also opens up a new direction for economic development for the province when Dong Nai unecessarily has to compete with Binh Duong in industry but can choose supporting industries and take advantage of the province's international airport gateway.

In addition, Dong Nai ( Vietnam ) also has the potential in building logistics centers. With the pro of being a locality with the most planned industrial parks in the country and a large import-export market, Dong Nai is gradually planning and developing to become a logistics center for the region.

The Eastern General Transit Zone (Trang Bom district) will be the province's large ICD area, with the advantage of being close to rivers and seas and near major seaports in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Besides, when Long Thanh airport comes into operation, along with the highway system... a large urban chain will form stretching from Binh Duong, Bien Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City through Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, then build a logistics chain to serve production, import and export needs.

In fact, currently, many businesses in Dong Nai ( Vietnam ) are still doing import-export services in Ho Chi Minh City, Cat Lai port, while the locality has a significant advantage in terms of river routes and port systems.

Therefore, the goal of Dong Nai province is to attract businesses in the province and in the region to provide import-export services. Locals believe that in the long term, Moving out of the urban center will be the main trend. Hence, businesses will look for areas with large space to store goods in preparation for export. Dong Nai will calculate to be ready to serve when needed.
