New employment opportunities emerge in Binh Duong

HCMC – Employment opportunities have arisen in the southern province of Binh Duong as businesses begin the hunt for labor, the provincial Labor Union said.

The union posted a list of 38 companies looking for over 50 workers on its portal, congdoanbinhduong.org.vn, and its Facebook page.

Most employers are active in labor-intensive industries such as export garment-textile, food and footwear or are suppliers of electronic appliances, health equipment and metal furniture.

In particular, ASG Vina Company Limited needs to hire 100 tailors, while Tan Hiep Phat Company Limited and LF Foods Company Limited want an additional 150 and 200 employees, respectively.

Meanwhile, manufacturers are also boosting hiring. Yazaki EDS Vietnam Company Limited and All Green Vina Company Limited are recruiting 500 people each, while Chun Xiang Rubber Plastic Product Company Limited is searching for 700 workers.

The South Korean-invested Panko Vina Corporation is hunting for 1,200 laborers, while the Taiwan-invested Ever Grace Shoes Viet Nam Company Limited has 1,700 new job openings.

According to the Binh Duong Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, many local firms have laid off thousands of workers due to a fall in new orders in recent months. Since January, the province has seen some 28,000 workers losing their jobs and the work hours of 200,000 employees cut.
