Up to 90 percent of workers in Ho Chi Minh City return to work after Tet
NDO/VNA – Between 80 and 95 percent of employees at enterprises in the southern largest economic of Ho Chi
NDO – More than 90% of workers at large enterprises in the southern province of Dong Nai, returned to work on February 5 (the fifth day of the Lunar New Year).
In order to encourage employees to be actively productive,during the first working day after Tet holiday, the grassroots Trade Unions and the Board of Directors of many enterprises, visited factories and presented each worker with lucky money worth 100,000 to 200,000 VND.
It is expected that from February 7, businesses in Dong Nai province will start operating normally, after the Lunar New Year holiday.
During the recent Lunar New Year, trade unions in Dong Nai province have organised a variety of activities to take care of workers, with gifts worth of hundreds of billions of VND.
Dong Nai is the leading industrial development province in the country, with 31 industrial parks and several industrial clusters in operation, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign enterprises to invest, produce and do business.
Dong Nai currently has more than one million workers, accounting for one third of the province’s population. The fourth outbreak of COVID-19 in 2021, has severely affected workers. In the harshest days due to the impact of the epidemic, Party committees, authorities, and trade unions have joined hands to support workers, to overcome difficulties.
